![]() For example in the latter part of the setup, Mario gets up from his ledge grab on the plank. Since every other character has different physics, it is much more difficult to see where to line up for the different characters. ![]() ¤REASON FOR WHY SOCKFOLDER SETUP DOES NOT WORK WITH ANYONE BUT MARIO: The sockfolder setup, as you know, requires very specific inputs that are precisely tailored to Mario's physics. If done correctly, you will successfully perform this CLess strat, and get the star in the wall. What you do is ensure that your camera angle matches the one shown in the video, start running onto the fall down blocks, long jump in the manner shown in the latter bit of the video (make sure you slow down during the long jump, as you will overshoot if you do not), land on the wooden plank, and hit the seam of the polygon for the wall. It is a very precise long jump, but since it involves your character slowing down, it is very likely able to work with every character, with varying long jump timings. ![]() This video is proof that at least Luigi has a CLess strat he can use, and I have tested to ensure this works with Mario as well. The sockfolder setup doesn't work because everyone turns around differently from Mario(¤), and while Yoshi can just flutter jump to grab the star, nobody else really has a method of reliably getting CLess. As you all may already know, Cannonless has been pretty hard to find a setup that works with every character for.
